Systems of the Gundam Series

Note: This is somewhat of a test for a later encyclopedia to cover every major person and thing in the series, so feedback on this section is more than welcome.

D.O.M.E. System The D.O.M.E. system is the base on the moon which houses the Microwave System used by the GX-9900's Satellite Cannon, as well as the first and only true Newtype, long stripped of his body but still alive in mind and spirit. It contains a giant Flash System which D.O.M.E., the Newtype, uses as an automated defense system. When the Space Rebellion Forces attack, the bit mobile suits alone are more than enough to push them back. Later, Shagia and Olba Frost destroy the defense system, leaving D.O.M.E. open to their infiltration team.
Flash System The Flash System was created by the Earth Federation for use with all Gundam series mobile suits during the 7th Space War. It allows a single Newtype pilot to control several bit mobile suits in battle using their nifty Newtype abilities. The system makes only a few appearances in the series though, most likely due to the lack of surviving Newtypes. Caris Nautilus utilizes the Flash System for use against Garoad Ran, leading to an easy victory that left the GX in ruins. Later, with the help of Luchilu Lilliant, Jamil Neat is able to use the Flash System with the GX. However, recognizing the danger in such power, Jamil destroys all of the bit mobile suits after the battle is won. Gundam Wing fans could equate the Flash System to the mobile dolls of the Wing universe.
Microwave System The Microwave System is the huge power system on the moon that supplies the Satellite Cannon with the enormous amounts of energy needed to do such things as wipe out colonies and/or armies of mobile suits. It collects solar energy, then transmits it to the GX-9900 or any other mobile suit containing a Satellite Cannon and a Newtype pilot.
Satellite System The Satellite System is the most powerful and fearsome weapon to come out of the 7th Space War (okay, I suppose a few surpassed it, but we're talking on mobile suits here, people). Using energy collected on the moon's surface and transmitted via super microwaves, the Satellite System allows the GX's pilot to fire the Satellite Cannon at just about anything with guaranteed destruction soon following. During the War, the Satellite System was used by Jamil Neat in an attempt to destroy the falling space colonies before they hit the Earth. While a Newtype is needed to originally set up the "connection" between a Gundam and the Satellite System, once the connection is made, any pilot using that Gundam can fire the Satellite Cannon. Tifa Adil makes the original connection for Garoad Ran's GX, and in the process, completely obliterates all of the pursuing mobile suits save for the Airmaster and Leopard. Later, a single shot from the Double X's Twin Satellite Cannon destroys the Colony Laser before it can fire on Earth (to be fair, it was three shots, but the first two were "warning" shots that intentionally flew too far to deal any serious damage). A single shot from the Satellite Cannon sends an entire New Federation army into retreat. And when faced with the possibility of the Satellite System's use, Jamil Neat, one of the few to have experienced the system first hand, always attempts to prevent it, even when it means sacrificing his ship, his crew, and himself.
Trans System Unique to the GW-9800 Gundam Airmaster, the Trans System allows it to transform into a fast and agile flight mode similar to the Bird and Neo-Bird Modes seen in Gundam W. The cost of this increased mobility is firepower, as the Airmaster only has a few light armaments. However, the trade-off seems to be more than fair when the highly mobile Airmaster can come to the aid of an ally in need or combine with the G-Falcon for a substantial speed upgrade.
